Emily grew up dancing in Northern California at the tender age of three with tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop. She began competing with Terpsichore Dance Company at age eight, and continued to explore other styles including contemporary and modern dance. At age twelve, she was accepted into Estrella Dance Company, a competitive team that focused on contemporary, modern, and hip hop. She performed in annual dance competitions around the Bay Area as well as on the national level throughout her high school career. She moved to the Los Angeles area to attend Occidental College and is currently in her final year pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics while working at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She joined the Occidental College Dance Team for her first two years at the college. She is thrilled to be able to continue using dance as an outlet in life while dancing with her wonderful Evoke family.
