KR Banaag was born in the Philippines and raised in Southern California. Having played sports all his life, dancing came at a more later stage. He started Krumping at the age of 17 with local crews around his area. As an incoming college freshman, realizing that he wasn’t gong to be a 6’8” guard in the NBA, he started taking dance classes. In 2007, he joined Team Millennia Dance Company and has not stopped dancing ever since. In 2008, he joined a house-influenced group called Inside the Box and was blessed enough to compete in the Hip Hop Internationals USA Finals and Paula Abdul’s CBS show “Live to Dance”. In 2010, KR Banaag ,alongside his close friends, helped co-found The IV League. He has been blessed to travel all around the country with various individuals and teams to absorb, teach, and perform the art of dance. KR always believe that you should follow your passion because you are only young once. There are so many things that come with dancing (media, hype, stress etc), but we all have to sit back and remember why we do it. We do it solely for the LOVE of it.
