Stephanie took her first ballet/tap/tumbling combo class at Hart Academy of Dance when she was 3. She did both dance and gymnastics for about a year, but when her mom found her trying headstands with no hands (literally balancing upside-down on her head) she put a quick end to any potential future in the Olympics. Instead, Stephanie focused solely on dance and started competing with Hart Academy when she was 5. Since then, she has been a part of several competitive and performing dance teams and has choreographed tap, jazz, contemporary and hip-hop routines. One of her favorite memories was dancing on the Carnation stage on Main Street in Disneyland, but no performance compares to the catharsis that comes from being in rehearsals surrounded by others who share her love for dance.
